Today's boat is a little hazy it has been squeaked onto the heavily condensed window which has pretty passion fruit vines and large orange fruits behind it. It was very hard to take a picture of, so I hope you can still see it.

A Boat a Day (no.153)

A Boat a Day (no.153)
Mosaic Coaster kit from HobbyCraft
Good evening, I am looking forward to the start of a new year. I always get inspired around this time of year, generally and creatively, I make lots of resolutions and stick to maybe two of them for about a month. So I'm thinking long and hard about what I want to achieve this year and what steps I need to take to get there.

Today I have used one of my new kits, a mosaic coaster, it's always good fun playing with something already laid out and simple. Even so I mixed the grout a bit thin, (which is why this blog is so late as it took a little over 4 hours to dry!) like a noob!

A Boat a Day (no.152)

This is probably the best thing I received this year, it's from my mum who is awesome at finding treasure. It looks like a crusade ship and even has a tiny cannon which moves :)
It needs a bit of restoration which I'm both nervous and excited about, thankfully I have had a bit of experience in this department so we'll see how that turns out.

A Boat a Day (no.151)

A Boat a Day no.151
Home again, with loads of treasure in tow. Today am holding off on all of my exciting projects and are giving you a peak at one of my well picked presents.
These are the biggest earrings I have ever owned and I love them, they managed to survive an entire day of kids jumping all over me, hats and even an excitable blind dog without hurting my ears! It's definitely the most stylish boat to date!

A Boat a Day (no.150)

It's been another taste of Christmas for me today, spending time with my family. As you can imagine I have received a lot of boat or boat related items this year, plus an hour in Hobbycraft has given me some fun projects too! So look out over the next few weeks for some of the best random presents :)
Today's boat has been a joint effort from my mum and my sisters who all wielded the paintbrush to complete this awesome painting-by-numbers.

Cheers Guys :) xx

A Boat a Day (no.148 and 149)

Today's boat no.149
Good morning and Merry Christmas!!

It has been a long time since I've actually said anything due to the 12 days of Christmas, but as I'm sure you will all agree things get a bit chaotic around this time of year. I've had a full on week of work, tidying, present making, buying and wrapping all culminating in an epic day of FOOD, BOOZE and MERRIMENT! This was Tor's first Christmas, he got fed tidbits of everything and everyone bought him a present lol!

I'm looking forward to whizzing back to Gloucester to spend some time with my family down there, I can't wait to give them all their presents. I hope you all had/are having a wonderful festive time.

Anyway so yesterday's boat was made around 1.30 in the morning, so please forgive the multitude of errors! Oh yeah, and please don't watch this video if you are sensitive to swearing, the words got changed a little bit.

A Boat a Day (no.140)

I have been wrapping gifts today, I decided to try and make things look a little nicer than I usually do. The internet had a lot of inspiration like making your own wrapping paper, I used stamps and ink to make a pattern on brown parcel paper, I also had fun aging my tags and curling strips of paper.

Anyway on with the boat...
