A Boat a Day (no.133) |
For today's boat I delved into my artbox, initially I meant to pick up some oil pastels but the willow charcoal called to me. I used to love drawing in charcoal, you can blend, smudge, erase, layer, you can do thin lines and thick lines and faint grey lines and heavy black ones. It is a very diverse medium which can produce some interesting details and, did I mention I love it? I decided to focus on the sails and mast as it looks a little less static.
